Make a Difference in the Lives of Children
Working with children is one of the most meaningful and impactful careers a person can choose. It takes warmth, patience, creativity, and a genuine desire to support the growth and wellbeing of the next generation. At Elevate Training, our Childcare course gives students a caring and comprehensive introduction to the world of early years education and child development and helps them take the first steps toward a career that truly matters.
Whether students are drawn to nursery work, teaching assistance, family support, or healthcare settings for children, this course lays a solid and inspiring foundation.
What’s Covered
Our Childcare provision introduces students to the core knowledge and skills needed to work effectively and safely with children across a range of settings.
Child Development Students explore the key stages of child development physical, cognitive, emotional, and social — from birth through to early childhood. Understanding how children grow and learn helps students to support them in age-appropriate, meaningful ways.
Play and Learning Play is central to how children develop. Students discover the importance of different types of play — creative, physical, imaginative, and social — and learn how to plan and support activities that stimulate growth and curiosity in young children.
Health, Safety & Safeguarding The safety and wellbeing of every child is the highest priority in any childcare setting. Students learn about safeguarding principles, risk assessment, safe working practices, hygiene, first aid awareness, and how to recognise and respond to concerns about a child’s welfare.
Communication & Relationships Building trusting, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues is at the heart of great childcare. Students develop their communication skills, learn about working in partnership with parents and carers, and explore how to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for every child.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Every child is unique and deserves to be valued and supported. Students learn about equality and inclusion in childcare, understanding how to celebrate difference and ensure that every child feels safe, respected, and able to flourish.
Routines and Environments From setting up a stimulating learning environment to establishing safe daily routines, students gain practical insight into how effective childcare settings are organised and run.
