What Is Our Outreach Programme?
Our One-to-One Outreach and Academic Education programme is designed to support young people who are facing difficulties in their current educational or home environment. Whether a young person has been excluded from school, is struggling to attend, or simply isn’t thriving in a traditional classroom setting, our outreach service brings dedicated, personalised support directly to them.
We understand that for some learners, getting through the door of a school or training centre is the biggest barrier of all. Our outreach workers meet young people where they are — building trust, removing obstacles, and helping them take their next step forward.

Who Is It For?
Our outreach programme is suited to young people aged 8–24 who may be experiencing one or more of the following:
– Exclusion from mainstream school (temporary or permanent)
– School refusal or persistent absence
– Emotional, behavioural, or mental health difficulties
– Difficult home circumstances affecting attendance or engagement
– A lack of confidence or motivation in a learning environment
– The need for additional support before joining a structured programme

How It Works
Our outreach support is flexible and built around the individual. Here’s what the process typically looks like:
- Referral & Initial Assessment Understanding needs, goals, and background.
- Tailored Support Plan Creating realistic targets and support strategies.
- One-to-One Sessions Personalised support at home, in the community, or at our centres in Bury or Warrington.
- Progress Reviews Monitoring progress and adapting support when needed.
- Pathway Planning Supporting progression into education, training, or employment.

What We Cover
Outreach sessions can incorporate a range of academic and personal development areas, including:
- English and Maths (Functional Skills)
- Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
- Life skills and independence
- Confidence building and communication
- Goal setting and future planning
- Vocational tasters linked to our main courses

Why Choose Elevate for Outreach?
We have been supporting young people in the North West since 2014. Our team understands the complexities that can affect a young person’s ability to engage with education, and we never take a one-size-fits-all approach.
We maintain close communication with referring organisations throughout the process, ensuring everyone involved has a clear picture of progress and next steps. Our goal is always the same: to help young people regain confidence, re-engage with learning, and move forward with their lives.

Refer a Young Person
If you are a school, local authority, social worker, parent, or carer and would like to refer a young person to our outreach programme, please get in touch with our team. We aim to respond to all referral enquiries promptly and can arrange an initial conversation at a time that suits you.
