At Elevate Training, our Hospitality course gives students an engaging and practical introduction to this exciting world. Whether students are drawn to front-of-house service, events coordination, or the management side of the industry, this course builds the essential foundation of knowledge, skill, and professional attitude needed to thrive.
What’s Covered
Introduction to the Hospitality Industry Students gain a broad understanding of the different types of hospitality businesses hotels, restaurants, pubs, cafés, events venues, leisure centres, and more. They explore the career pathways available within the sector and what employers look for in their staff.
Customer Service in Hospitality Exceptional customer service is the heartbeat of hospitality. Students learn how to greet and welcome guests, anticipate their needs, handle requests and complaints professionally, and create the kind of warm, positive experience that keeps customers coming back.
Food and Beverage Service Students are introduced to the principles of food and drink service, including table setting, taking orders, serving food and beverages correctly, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area. They learn about menu knowledge, allergen awareness, and responsible alcohol service.
Hotel and Accommodation Operations For those interested in hotels, students explore the workings of front desk and reception operations checking guests in and out, handling bookings and enquiries, and managing the guest experience from arrival to departure.
Events and Functions Events are a huge part of the hospitality industry. Students learn about the planning and delivery of functions from corporate events to private celebrations including room setup, guest management, and the importance of attention to detail in creating a successful event.
Health, Safety & Hygiene In hospitality, standards of health, safety, and hygiene are non negotiable. Students learn about food hygiene, safe handling and serving practices, personal presentation standards, and how to maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues alike.
